About Us

New Chapter Academy

New Chapter Academy was born from real experience—from the streets, from the system, and from the soul of a man who’s lived both sides of the story.

I spent much of my adolescence in group homes —not because of bad behavior, but because of bad circumstances. I was a child trying to survive the reality I was born into.

The streets became my teacher. The system became my second home. And I watched not just myself—but many of my friends—go in and out of different programs, repeating cycles we didn’t create, but came to accept as normal.

I always wanted to help others. That desire never changed—but the way I went about it had to. I used to try to help people through the hustle and survival mindset, but it wasn’t sustainable. It wasn’t healing. It wasn’t building anything real.

There’s a saying: “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” That’s the heartbeat of New Chapter Academy.

This program allows me to help the right way—not just by offering temporary support, but by giving men the tools to rebuild their lives permanently. Through structure, job training, life skills, emotional growth, and spiritual grounding, we’re helping men stand on their own two feet—not just today, but for the rest of their lives.

New Chapter Academy is the program I wish I had. It’s a place where men can stop surviving and start healing.
Where they can develop discipline, gain skills, build character, and be seen for who they really are—not what their record says.

We provide shelter, meals, clothing, vocational training, personal development, and most importantly—hope. We help our students reclaim their identity, restore their purpose, and re-enter the world as leaders.

New Chapter Academy isn’t just changing lives—it’s changing the system. With your support, we can expand our impact and ensure no man is released into homelessness or hopelessness again.

Together, we’re not just transforming individuals—we’re restoring communities.

homelessness leads to incarceration—and incarceration leads to more homelessness.

This cycle doesn’t just affect individuals; it weakens entire communities. Without stable housing, reentry is nearly impossible. That’s why programs like New Chapter Academy are essential. We provide not only structure and support, but access to housing, life skills, and career pathways—helping men break the cycle before it begins again.

It’s time to address the root of the issue. No man should be incarcerated simply because he has nowhere to sleep.
