Orientation at NCA is a four-week assessment process designed to set the foundation for each student's success. During this period, every student will be assigned a dedicated case manager. Together, the student and case manager will complete a comprehensive program assessment spreadsheet, covering the student's individual needs, personal goals, recovery plan, trade interests, employment options, and home placement. This collaborative process ensures the development of a personalized, strategic plan tailored for each student's growth and long-term success. Orientation also serves as a time for students, staff, and instructors to become familiar with one another and to clearly outline expectations within the program. Our goal is to provide every student with the strongest possible start by fostering skill development, educational progress, and a supportive learning environment.
Note: Orientation (noun): 1. The process of becoming familiar with a new situation, environment, or set of ideas.
2. Training or preparation provided to help someone adjust to a new role, job, or place.
3 The act of determining the relative position of someone or something, especially oneself; or the beginning stage of something that sets direction or purpose.
